When snack time turns into a science experiment

So the other day, I was preparing a simple snack of apple slices and peanut butter for the kids, and I swear it turned into a messy art project instead! They decided to make ‘peanut butter volcanoes’ on their plates, and we ended up talking about chemical reactions. Who knew snack time could be so educational and hilarious? Anyone else have snack mishaps that turned into teachable moments?

But that’s awesome! We once turned our yogurt into ‘glue’ for a homemade craft project… It got messy but sparked a whole discussion about textures and flavors.

Snack mishaps can be the best learning moments! Once, we made ‘fruit soup’ after I mistakenly added too much juice to our fruit salad. It was sticky, but we talked about how mixing flavors can change the whole dish. Have you ever used messes to spark curiosity, like @mccoy78 did with yogurt glue?
