Understanding neonatal sleep cycles

I’ve been reading a lot about the unique sleep patterns of newborns, and it’s fascinating how their cycles differ from older infants. I recently came across the 4-part sleep cycle they go through, which lasts about 50–60 minutes. Understanding this has helped me better support the families I work with, and I’d love to hear how others have adapted their routines to accommodate these cycles.

I’ve found that keeping the room dark during those 50–60 minute cycles helps them settle back to sleep quicker… Have you tried white noise too? It can really make a difference! :crescent_moon:.
