Last week, I turned my back for just five minutes to prep lunch and came back to find the toddler had conspicuously opened the snack cupboard. I swear, I’ve never seen a tiny human move so fast with a bag of pretzels in hand; it’s moments like these that make me wonder if I should be running a security detail instead of a nanny service.
And i totally get that! Just last week, I caught one of my charges pulling off a similar stunt with cookies right before dinner. I started keeping the snacks in a higher cupboard — keeps the little ones guessing.
