Creating Effective Care Plans for Kids

I’ve been working as a nanny for children with special needs for a few years now, and I’ve learned that personalized care plans can make a world of difference. For instance, incorporating fun therapeutic activities tailored to each child’s interests often yields fantastic results. I’m curious how others approach creating these plans and what activities you’ve found to be most effective.

I totally agree that activities tailored to interests can be game-changers; i’ve had success with sensory bins filled with themed items; they can really engage a child. But , sometimes parents have a hard time prioritizing the time needed for daily routines and activities like these.

It’s amazing how much a simple change can help. I once created a scavenger hunt based on a child’s favorite cartoon, and it kept them engaged for hours. Have you ever tried incorporating elements from their favorite stories?

I once used a favorite storybook to create interactive scenes; it really helped with engagement! Have you checked out https://www.therapeuticplay.com for more ideas?
