Boosting Outdoor Play for Kids

I’ve been exploring new ways to encourage more outdoor activities for the children I work with, and it’s amazing how much physical development can happen through play. Last week, we set up an obstacle course using simple items like hula hoops and cones, and the kids loved it! I’m curious — what activities do you find really spark children’s interest and get them moving outside?

I totally agree — setting up an obstacle course is such a fun way for kids to develop their skills. We once used pool noodles to create a balance beam, and the kids were so engaged! Sometimes, just adding a theme like a jungle adventure can really spark their imagination. What other themes have you tried?
