I’ve landed two remote nanny gigs this year by sending a 45-second intro video and a one-page ‘care plan’ with sample schedules — families said it helped them decide fast. Remote is great, but set clear hours and require a quiet workspace — otherwise you’ll end up on-call like a nightlight. Also, some “remote” listings still want occasional evenings onsite, so clarify that early.

Those “posted in real-time” listings vanish so fast, … I keep a short template ready with my availability screenshot + CPR cert link and drop a Calendly for a 10‑min intro, which gets me replies within a day for remote/private home roles: https://calendly.com/. Tiny caveat: some families hate links, so I paste the time windows in plain text too — anyone else find that helps?

I’ve found including specific examples of activities I can do with the kids in my application really helps. For instance, mentioning a fun literacy game I used recently caught a family’s attention. It’s all about showcasing what you can bring to their home, especially with the flexibility that remote roles offer.
